Description: Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is well established across business research disciplines. In addition, a number of important methodological PLS-SEM developments have recently been introduced (for example, the combination of PLS-SEM and the necessary condition analysis, prediction-oriented model assessment, predictive model comparison and selection, uncovering unobserved heterogeneity by latent class segmentation, moderation and multigroup analysis). This broad analysis portfolio makes PLS-SEM a valuable method to address research questions which are fundamental to quality management, such as, identifying the antecedents and outcomes of customer perceived quality. The goal of this special issue is to present the use of advanced PLS-SEM methods and to expand the methodological toolbox of quality management research, thus making it more effective. Overall, this special issue aims to shed new light on how the application of advanced PLS-SEM methods can enrich both existing theories and business practices in the field of quality management.
